This Winter I have planned a Winter Bucket List. I think this is a fun way to tackle certain activities and events as a family! I am not a winter person (I usually hibernate like a bear all winter), so this is a little motivation to bundle up and get on out there!
A few of my favourite Christmas activities growing up were:
• Decorating the Christmas tree, I have always enjoyed decorating the tree as a kid… but when that tree needed to come down, I was no where to be found
• Driving around and admiring the Christmas lights, and look for the most ‘Griswold’ worthy house
• Watch our favourite Christmas movies, until we could recite the lines over and over again
• Christmas baking and testing out the baked goods before Christmas
• Breakfast with Santa was always something I did with my family and my parents friends families every year, and of course that meant us kids had to sit on Santa… even if we were 13 (thanks mom)
* I absolutely hated getting my picture taken with Santa, but now that I have kids ;) I am that annoying mom that peers behind Santa trying to get my kids to calm down and smile. It usually always ends with little tears, and mommy sitting on Santa’s lap too
So with my Winter Bucket List, I plan to share a photo and use #WinterFunBL on Instagram each time my family and I do one of these activities. If you want to join in use #WinterFunBL too, I would love to see what everyone is up too over the winter :)
A few winter photos from pervious years

This year will be Max’s first Christmas!! I am SOOO excited that the boys get to celebrate these fun holidays with each other :) and that we get to create new memories as a family of 4. Hopefully Max is a little more thrilled to sit on Santa’s lap!
What are some things that are on your Winter Bucket List?

My favorite holiday. Special treasured memories for me as a child at Christmas. One of my fondness memories was with my Dad traipsing thru the snow to the woods to pick out that special tree.

lol… I will try again from where I left off.
My Dad had a lot of patience as I was undecided which tree would be the most perfect. Each one seeming more beautiful than the last. Finally off we would go back thru the fields to the house. Mom would have the bucket of sand ready for the tree. Strands of Garland, popcorn strings and other homemade decorations. Dad would say ” it looks a bit sparse but once we get it all prettied up it will be beautiful. He was always right…
once we placed all the ornaments and sparkly garlands and of course, tons of silver and gold icicles it was so grand and beautiful.
So here’s to another Christmas season upon us to enjoy and have more wonderful blessed moments and memories

I love this! I am also not a fan of winter but this will help motivate me to get out and enjoy it! Thanks for the ideas. :)
