Our house was built in 1997 and had one owner before we bought it. Everything inside was the original 1997 oak and brass finishes (very chic I know)! When we moved in, we decided to bring the house value up, so for the first month our house went through a few upgrading and updating renovations. Little by little I have been adding my own personal character to each room. There is still plenty I want to do and even change over the past two years. Decorating sure does take a lot of patience and time, especially on a tight budget.
Our hall access master bathroom
The walls are Behr- Jasper Cane, vanity is painted in high gloss black, knobs and pulls are from Home Depot, shower curtain is from target, and the shelves above toilet are barnboard stained in Walnut.

Love it! I would put some funny knobs like porselain with a colour on the cabinets! But it s a beautifull makeover anyway!

Thank you! If I were to do this room over again, there are many things I would like to have done differently. I didn’t really know what I liked at the time, I am a very simple and minimalistic person!

Looks awesome, great job! How long did it take you guys to complete?

Thanks! I wish I could gut the whole bathroom and start fresh, but unfortunately this is our first home so we are just doing budget friendly updates – the vanity, doors/walls were all painted, and a few outdated pieces were removed and replaced. All completed within a year – somethings took a little time especially with a busy baby (my husband isn’t very handy, lol)!

Ah the old budget and young kids, know the feeling…. We have two little munshkins with the newest only 4 weeks old, I have had to put our renovations on hold for a while so we can all catch up on some sleep :)

Haha, yes, kids are top priority!
